Privacy

No cookies.

I only measure how many people visit and what they find interesting. I don't know who you are and I don't want to. That's why there's no consent banner here.

What I measure

  • which pages you view and how far you read,
  • where you click, for example "Email me", LinkedIn, Google Play or copying the email address,
  • which concepts you open under "How I think" and whether you switch language,
  • which site you came from, your device and browser type, and how fast the page loads.

This shows me what's useful and what I need to improve.

How

I use PostHog for analytics, with servers in the European Union (Frankfurt). The analytics store nothing on your device: no cookies, no other data.

To count visits, PostHog computes a hash on its own servers from your IP address and browser details. The IP address can't be recovered from it. The hash changes every day, so you aren't recognised the next day. PostHog doesn't store your IP address.

What I don't do

  • I don't record what you do on the site,
  • I don't track you on other websites,
  • I don't show ads,
  • I don't sell or share data.

Other

  • The fonts are hosted on this site, not by Google. Your browser doesn't contact Google because of them.
  • If you pick the light or dark theme in the footer, your browser remembers it on your device. The site stores nothing else.
  • The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. For security, GitHub logs technical data about visits, including IP addresses.
  • Links to LinkedIn and Google Play take you to their sites, where their rules apply.
